Owner, Jim graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a BS in Animal Science. He later went on to become a nationally ranked sheep shearer working around the world, shearing over ¼ of a million sheep, earning national and international awards in competition. During these years, Jim was able to be part of large feedlot operations, stations, and ranch operations, as well as small New England farms.
Jim still maintains a small farm in New Hampshire that has included livestock, greenhouses, and a horse drawn hay and sleigh ride business. Firsthand, he has learned the needs of animals using this in his construction company building barns around New England. He has been hired to travel as far as Georgia to build quality structures, earning the respect of his customers by years of customer service.
Jim is the owner of both Ag Structures, LLC and Barn Store of New England, a retail farm supply store. Jacob Mason, another UNH graduate heads up our sales. Jake started working on sites as a youngster helping his dad, Jim. He is no stranger to the needs of livestock and horses having worked many years with them himself. re.
Foreman, Jason DeCota, with an Associate’s in Animal Science from UNH works as our field supervisor. He has been working for Ag Structures, LLC for many years, building all types of structures, including dairy processing plants, organic dairy facilities, retail farm stores, horse stables and arenas, homes, and numerous site projects.
